Nexa Futbol

Nexa Futbol ("Nexa Futbol," "we," "us") is a nutrition, training, and recovery app for soccer players ages 13–18. Nexa Futbol is a sole proprietorship operated by Joseph Posel, based in Florida, United States. Nexa Futbol is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We wrote it in plain language because many of our users are teenagers — if anything is unclear, email us at josephposel@gmail.com.
Who this app is for
Nexa Futbol is designed for soccer players between the ages of 13 and 18. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete the account and its data.
If you are under 18, we encourage you to review this policy with a parent or guardian. In some places, the law requires a parent's or guardian's consent before we can process your data — for example, in parts of the European Union, users under the local age of digital consent (between 13 and 16 depending on the country) need a parent's permission to use the app. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the age requirements that apply where you live, or that your parent or guardian has consented.
Parents and guardians: you may contact us at any time at josephposel@gmail.com to review, correct, or delete your child's information.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email and basic profile information.
Athlete profile. During onboarding, you provide your name, birth date, age, sex, height, weight, and playing position. We use these to calculate your personal nutrition targets.
Nutrition, training, and recovery data. As you use the app, we collect the meals you log (including any photos, text descriptions, or spoken descriptions of your food), your calorie and macronutrient totals, hydration amounts, training sessions (type, duration, intensity), and sleep and recovery entries.
Technical information. Like most online services, our hosting providers automatically record basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and error reports) needed to run and secure the service.
We do not collect precise location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
How we use your information
We use your information to run Nexa Futbol: creating and securing your account, calculating your personalized nutrition targets, analyzing the meals you log, showing your dashboards and progress, syncing your data across devices, fixing bugs, and responding to your messages. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
AI meal analysis
When you log a meal by photo, text, or voice, that content is sent to an artificial-intelligence service to identify the food and estimate its nutrition. Specifically, meal photos and descriptions are processed by an AI model (currently Google's Gemini, accessed through our development platform's AI gateway). This content is used to analyze your meal and return results to you. AI estimates are approximate and can be wrong — always use your own judgment, and see our Terms of Service for more on this.
Voice input uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, which may be processed by your browser's provider (for example, Google or Apple) according to their own privacy policies.
Payments and Stripe
When you purchase a paid subscription (Pro or Max), your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe"). Stripe collects your payment details, charges your card, calculates and collects applicable taxes, and issues receipts and invoices on our behalf. Nexa Futbol remains the seller of the subscription.
To make this work, Stripe receives information necessary to complete the transaction, including your name, email address, billing address, IP address, payment method details, and the subscription you purchased. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for the payment data it collects and processes that data under its own privacy notice, available at stripe.com/privacy. Nexa Futbol does not store your full card number or bank details on our own servers.
Stripe sends us back the information we need to give you access to your paid plan — including your customer and subscription identifiers, plan and status, billing period dates, and whether your subscription is active, past due, or canceled — which we store in our own database against your Nexa Futbol account.
Where your data is stored and who can access it
Your data is stored in two places: locally on your device (so the app works quickly) and in our cloud database, so your data syncs across devices. Our service is built and hosted on Lovable Cloud, and our database and login system are provided by Supabase. These providers process your data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Access to user data in our database is restricted so that each user can only access their own information. The app's administrator (the operator of Nexa Futbol) has the technical ability to access user profiles for support, safety, and maintenance purposes, and only uses that access when necessary.
We share information with the following categories of recipients, only as needed to run the app:
- Hosting and infrastructure — Lovable Cloud (hosting) and Supabase (database and authentication), acting as our processors.
- AI providers — Google (Gemini, accessed through our development platform's AI gateway) for meal analysis and workout plan generation.
- Payment processor — Stripe, for card processing, tax calculation and collection, subscription billing, and invoicing.
- Sign-in provider — Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
- Professional advisers and authorities — legal or accounting advisers when needed, and government or law-enforcement authorities where required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
If you are in Europe: your data is stored on servers in the United States. By using the app, your information is transferred to the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. We rely on our providers' standard data-protection safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and health data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available in the Profile page of the app), your profile and logged data are deleted from our database. Some residual technical logs held by our infrastructure providers may persist for a limited period before being deleted in the normal course.
Your rights and choices
You can view and edit your profile information directly in the app, and you can delete your account (and the data stored with it) from the Profile page at any time. You can also email us at josephposel@gmail.com to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask questions about this policy. We will respond as required by applicable law.
If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases for processing are the performance of our contract with you (providing the app), your consent (for health-related data you choose to log), and our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a US resident, depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To exercise any right, email josephposel@gmail.com.
Because our users are minors, we may take reasonable steps to verify identity (or a parent's identity) before fulfilling a request.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access, and database rules that restrict each user to their own data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect your data and will inform you as required by law if a breach affects your information.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes — for example, when we introduce paid subscriptions — we will update this page, change the "Last updated" date, and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
